Gentling Mature Untouched Horses
Those horses that have had little to no handling that most people brush off as a lost cause...I love them and see so much potential. These horses are some of the easiest to work with and often make the fastest progress. They are authentic and respond to me eagerly desiring to understand the language I present that so mirrors that of the wild horses.
Do you have one that just sits because they are "past the training age?" Give him a chance to show you a partnership that will amaze and thrill you.
Colt Starting
Based on gentle, non-violent, resistant free methods, I start young horses with a foundation that prepares them for the horse world we humans love to take them into. When I first started training, I often had people ask how I could train the horses...I'm not very big and especially back then, really lacked riding skills to stay on the bucking broncos they were use to. My response was...I connect with the horse on a level that they never want to fight me. Very rarely do I have one of these youngsters even try to buck with me....on the contrary, they are proud to carry me on their back and set off onto the adventures. Teaching these young ones is like raising kids...full of challenges but also very exciting as you watch them explore and learn and grow. Give your youngster the opportunity to be the horse they CAN be.
Problem Solving/Tune-ups
Just like people, horses take on habits, often habits you as the owner are not pleased with. These bad habits can be dangerous, overwhelming and confusing. I focus on honing in on the root cause to these issues and eliminating the learned behavior by creating new patterns. Whether these issues come from physical pain, past abuse/mishandling, or misunderstanding, I will take the time and make the effort to recreate reality for these horses and you as the owner. Do you feel like giving up on your horse? Let me work with you and your horse.
