Speaking the Language

To connect with a horse, even a dangerous horse, a language is needed.  Yes, you can use physical force, pain, and violence.  But these only last so long and eventually kill that spirit. With only 10 minutes of working in the language of the horse, this disrespectful, spirited mare joined up and followed Gwen around the pen without ropes or any other tools.  This mare realized that a human could understand her...this understanding cultivated a willing and even joyful submission to Gwen's leadership.
